For example, this means that the party's theme not only focuses on aesthetics and performance but also includes an education booth each time. There, you can interact with experienced individuals, ask questions, and try things out.
Additionally, our performances will not involve blood or threatening scenarios. We aim to demonstrate that topics associated with other, possibly scary perceptions can also be accessible, sensual and aesthetic. However, how you shape your experience is entirely up to you, and the party is not limited to rookies.
Our awareness concept includes various aspects:
Awareness and inclusivity are core values within our team.
We have specific crew for awareness that can be talked to at anytime, queer and trans people are part of the team. Toilets are available for all genders.
Our number 1 priority is providing a safer space for everybody as best as we can.
We have discussed thoroughly if we want to have a fixed age limit or not.
In the end everyone is welcome at the party who shares our values and acts according to the rules of attendance - which is not exclusive to an age factor.
Nevertheless Freaks on a Leash is directed at a younger crowd and will have an age-based ticket system (price and amount of presale availability). In case of concerns we have an awareness team installed and a zero tolerance policy towards behavior that doesn't reflect a sexpositive and aware mindset.
We will open the door mainly for young people and those exploring their kinks while a strict age restriction doesn't seem like the most reliable or only tool to create a safer space and feel secure.
A variety of alternative music genres to dance to: Goth, Rock, Metal, Punk, Dark Wave, Electro etc. In the play area there is a calmer playlist to set the mood.
We will use the Nochtspeicher with the bar, stage and dancefloor for partying, downstairs in the Nochtwache will be a calmer area with toys, furniture and lounge options. Depending on your taste you can decide how spicy you want to be where.
The venue covers two levels. The lower floor, known as the Nochtwache, provides dedicated room for fun activities and includes a separate area for more private stuff.
In our play area downstairs we will have some possibilities to keep away
from onlookers.
Toys and equipment is being chosen from party to party - to sit on, lie in, stand up, fly, watch...
Special add-ons towards the motto can be expected as well as self-made wooden furniture.
It's definitely allowed to bring your own toys, ropes and what else you'd like to have for a playful night. Knives etc. that could be used as weapons unfortunately can't be brought in for security reasons except specific safety scissors for bondage.
There will be clean toilets for all genders and of course hygienic utensils including tampons, sanitizers, condoms, dental dams etc.
There will also be the possibility to borrow the keys to a shower in the venue - bring your own towels when possible or think of having some cash on you to receive one at the wardrobe.
At the box office you can use credit cards, debit cards and cash.
Please bring cash for towels and the wardrobe, at the bar we now have card payments available as well - there will be many options with and without booze.
Filming and taking photos is not allowed during the event. To ensure everyone's privacy phone cameras have to be blocked with a sticker (front and back) if you want to take your phone with you into the venue. In our team there's a professional photographer to capture some memories for your eyes only with explicit prior consent or on request. You'll have to leave your contact (e-mail, social media profile or similar) so the photos can be sent directly to you after the party - there is no download link for all guests.
Goth, Drag, Petplay, Dessous, Latex, Leather and Lace, Burlesque, Black Tie... We would like to see a thoughtful and intricate look that matches your vibe. Use each motto for inspiration if you like. We will not grant entry to guests with street wear, business attire or lazy undressing. Every party has it's specific inspiration Pinterest board and Instagram stories, so check out the social media links below.
Yes, suits are not forbidden, just like any clothing is not a no-go per se. The complete look needs to make sense and be an eye catcher from classy to extravagant. If you like suits you can make them stand out elegantly with accessories, hats, matching coloured highlights etc.
Standard funeral or business suits, button-up shirts alone, wrinkled or washed out clothing will not suffice.
